How to make a group card, step by step

  1. 1

    Start the card

Pick the occasion, add their name, and write the main message from all of you.
  2. 2

    Turn on group signing

It's a switch in the editor. Your private page then shows a second link, just for signing.
  3. 3

    Share the signing link

Drop it in the team chat or the family group. Each person writes a short note, picks a sticky color, and adds their name.
  4. 4

    Check it before it goes

Your private page shows every note, and you can remove any that shouldn't be there.
  5. 5

    Send the card link

When everyone has signed, send the card link to the person it's for. The notes appear on the card when it opens.

When a group card works best

Farewells and new jobs

The classic. A card from the whole office that they can keep, without someone carrying a paper card desk to desk, hoping nobody spots it.

Birthdays at work

Twenty short notes beat one long one. People write more freely on a sticky note than in a shared document.

Get well soon

Family spread across cities can all sign the same card, and it arrives as one hug instead of thirty separate messages.

Thank you to a teacher or coach

A class can sign one card. Kids love seeing their own name on a sticky note.

Tips for a group card people actually sign

  • Give a deadline in the same message as the link: “Sign by Thursday noon.”
  • Sign it first. A couple of notes already on the card make it easier for the next person.
  • Ask for one specific thing, like “a favorite memory with Dana”. A prompt gets better notes than “write something nice”.
  • Keep the main message short, since it's from everyone. The personality lives in the sticky notes.

Stuck on the main message? Borrow a line and make it yours:

  • Congratulations! You worked so hard for this, and it shows.

  • Congrats! This is huge, and you deserve every bit of it.

  • Look at you go! Congratulations.

Do group cards cost anything?

No. Group signing is part of the free card, and up to 40 people can sign. If you want photos of the team, a voice note or music on top, the fancy card is $4.99 once, paid by whoever made the card.

P.S.Quick questions

How many people can sign a group card?
Up to 40 notes per card.
Do signers need an account?
No. They open the signing link, write a note and add their name. That's all.
Can the person getting the card see the signing link?
No. The signing link and the card link are different. They only ever see the finished card.
Can I remove a note someone added?
Yes. Every note shows on your private page, and you can remove any of them there.
Can I send the card on a specific day?
Yes. Share the card link whenever you're ready, or seal it until a day and hour with the fancy card ($4.99), so it can't be opened early.

That's everything you need. The rest is just picking a photo and saying what you mean.
