How to write birthday wishes for your son
A card from a parent can be the thing a son quietly keeps for decades. Tell him what you've seen him become, not just what he's achieved: kind to his friends, brave when it was hard, funny at the dinner table. Mention a small memory from when he was little, then say you're proud of him in so many words. Whatever his age, he still wants to hear it from you.
A great birthday message does three things: it celebrates the day, it says something true about the person, and it looks forward to the year ahead. You don't need all three in every card, but the more specific you are, the more it feels written for them rather than copied from a list.
Think about the last year. Did they start a new job, move house, run a race, become a parent, get through something hard? Mentioning one of those moments makes a simple "happy birthday" feel personal. Then add a wish that fits them: rest for someone exhausted, adventure for someone restless, good cake for everyone.
