How to write Mother's day messages
A Mother's Day card is a thank-you note, a love letter and a memory all in one. The most meaningful messages name something specific she did for you, like the cooking, the late-night talks or the sacrifices you only understood as an adult. Specific gratitude is what moms keep and reread.
If you're writing to your wife from you and the kids, focus on her as a mother: the patience, the love, the things no one else notices. For grandmothers, mothers-in-law and mother figures, a card that says "you've been like a mom to me" can mean the world.
Mother's Day is the second Sunday of May in the US, Canada and Australia, and in the UK, Mothering Sunday falls in March. A sealed card that opens on the morning is a lovely surprise.
